Shopify product bundles: options and checks

Choose a Shopify product bundle app by the experience your store needs: a native bundle product, a fixed set of separate items or a discount on selected components. This guide explains those decisions, the checks to run and FairRev's current limits. FairRev has fixed-bundle configuration, but a complete shopper-to-checkout bundle demonstration is not yet available. Ask for that demonstration before choosing it for this workflow.

Choose a Shopify product bundle app by the experience your store needs: a native bundle product, a fixed set of separate items or a discount on selected components. See a product bundle from the shopper’s perspective

Consider a hypothetical camera accessory set containing a case and cleaning cloth. A useful fixed offer tells the shopper what each item is, which variants and quantities are included, and the combined price after any discount. Acceptance should add the promised items, and checkout should preserve that promise.

FairRev's grouped offer implementation submits selected variants together. That does not establish a separate Shopify bundle product or native component-inventory synchronization. Confirm whether you need those capabilities before comparing a grouped cart offer with a catalogue bundle.

Plan fixed bundles and discounts

The current builder includes Fixed bundle and lets a merchant select offered products, quantities and item discounts. A saved offer is distinct from its published version. The publication check must confirm that all selected variants, quantities, labels and prices reach the storefront unchanged.

For the accessory example, first define the exact case variant and cloth variant. Choose a discount that leaves an acceptable contribution after product cost, packaging and fulfillment. Do not use an advertised total until the same cart and checkout have been walked. A grouped offer is not a promise that the bundle becomes its own catalogue SKU.

Choose supported bundle placements

The placement controls include product page, cart page and cart drawer. Product and cart placements need app blocks in appropriate theme sections. Drawer placement depends on an adapter and must be checked against the actual drawer implementation. Code paths for a placement do not verify its visual behavior for every offer type.

Place the offer where the shopper has enough context to evaluate the extra items. On a main product page, explain why the fixed set belongs with that product. In a cart, check whether any component is already present and whether accepting the offer would add an unexpected duplicate quantity.

Check compatibility and bundle limitations

Before launch, test every selected variant, available and unavailable items, repeated acceptance, existing component quantities, cart changes and mobile layout. Confirm fulfillment sees separate components in the expected quantities. Inspect the final discounted lines and the behavior when another discount is present. Do not assume inventory behavior from a grouped add-to-cart implementation.

The free Shopify Bundles app documents fixed bundles, multipacks, variant selection and real-time inventory updates, checked 15 October 2026. If those native fixed bundles satisfy the requirement, start there. FairRev should be considered for its evidenced offer and billing workflow, not described as a replacement for every native bundle capability.

Understand bundle pricing and attributed orders

Read FairRev pricing for the conditional 200 USD free-plan allowance and the paid minimum and ceiling. Every available feature is included on each plan. The price of the bundle and the merchant's FairRev app fee are different amounts.

FairRev attribution explains how accepted variants match order lines. A bundle does not automatically make the entire basket attributable. Matched quantities, allocated discounts, exclusions, refunds and settlement still apply. Attributed revenue is not controlled evidence of additional revenue or profit.

Choose your next step

Write down the bundle components, variants, quantities and target placement, then compare those needs with the native option and FairRev's verified scope. Contact [email protected] for availability and a bundle walkthrough. A public installation destination has not been verified.

For a practical evaluation, request the exact configuration, matching shopper display, acceptance-to-checkout journey and variant/inventory results for your placement. See the product bundle setup guide for a fuller decision and testing checklist.
